on 9/2/09 maria asks: i am one of the customers that absolutely adores your soy oatmeal in the mornings. I took forward to it everyday! To my surprise, you did not have it this morning and i was disappointed. Is there a reason for that?
we wanted to introduce another kind of oatmeal the one that i happen to love - "steal cut" and wanted to offer people the option to add whatever liquid they like to it - soy milk or regular or even better - cream. or just have it plain with nothing added.
try our water based, steal cut oatmeal with some soy milk you can take from the coffee station, i think you'll have a pleasant surprise!

our rice doesn't have a specific name. it's a short grain rice (like the risotto rice or a japanese sushi rice). so make sure to look for a short grain variety. hope this will help!

on 6/11/09 Katherine b. asks: I was wondering if you'd consider putting some "classic sandwiches" on your menu? I love the food you have, but sometimes just want something very basic, like a classic chicken salad sandwich or BLT using the fresh ingredients you already use on everything else. (I don't like the versions made at the local delis and need an option!)
You can custom order any sandwich on our menu with any ingredients available. our lemon pecan chicken salad is just an improved version of a basic chicken salad. just ask for it on a choice of one of our hand picked artisanal breads with a little mayo, boston lettuce and optional tomato and you're in deli heaven (my choice would still be the seven grain bread.
as to Blt sandwich how about - sourdough bread, maybe toasted, herb or plain mayo, lots of crispy brown sugar bacon, lettuce and tomato. mmm makes me hungry...
